Mr. Bashir is a foreign- trained lawyer studying towards his Solicitors/ Barristers Bar Exams to Practice law in Canada. He currently holds a BA / LLB (Hons) degree and has previously worked in various prestigious organizations. He started his career with internships at a top-tier law firm of the region; RIAA Barker Gillette (Pakistan) and with The Government of Pakistan; Ministry of Law, Justice and Human Rights (Human Rights Wing).
Mr. Bashir facilitated and assisted the Joint Secretary of the Gov. Department in formulating and data consolidation of the periodic review for Human Rights Committee of UN (The United Nations) for the ratified conventions by Pakistan. Additionally he also assisted and participated in various Federal Human Rights Policy Frame work meetings, consequently gaining a tremendous amount of exposure in Research and Human Rights.
At RIAA Barker Gillette, Mr. Bashir was responsible for various assigned tasks ranging from legal research, drafting memos and proofreading contracts on matters of Commercial and Corporate nature.
During the course of his education he was extensively involved in various national mooting competitions securing many awards as well as a position for Chief Coordinator; Bahria Law Moot Society for two consecutive years. Many moot prepositions involved extensive presenting, oratory, organizing and drafting skills on legal and human rights issues, which eventually increased, and enhanced his knowledge and abilities on many subjects. His speaking abilities have been utilized at many forums such as coaching freshmen for mooting competitions, debating events, motivational guest lecturers etc.
Mr. Bashir also writes research articles and acts as an International editor in Canada for a Legal Magazine holding a number of publications to his name. He is a young motivated individual with plans to further study in the field of law and to expand his legal career and knowledge with the passage of time. He is working as Legal Associate with PRISM Immigration Services, Canada.
